The Friends of Bridgewater Library, also known as Friends of the Somerset County  Library, is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping the library make information and knowledge accessible to the communities it serves. The Friends purchases special materials, enhances the library environment and sponsors numerous programs throughout the year. Funds are generated by memberships, book sales and donations.

The Continuous book sale is now open, and we are accepting donations. If you have a bag or two,  or a box of books or media you would like to donate to the Friends, feel free to bring them in at any time. There is a yellow cart just past the magazine section where you can leave them.

If you would like to make a larger donation, please call us and leave a message, so we can get back to you and  make an appointment. We have limited space for storage, and must limit what we allow to be brought in at any one time!

Projects and Events

2022-2023

   Events

This coming year the Friends will fund 6 Friday night  Concerts: 3 in the fall of 2022, and 3 in the spring of 2023. We are in the process of lining up our programs, and will post our concert series once it has been confirmed.

          Projects

We recently approved funding for making new large signs within the library to indicate where each subject area section is located. We are also expecting to hear proposals for other library enhancements, and as these projects are approved,  they'll be described here.
